Pistonpen spring. Sometimes called the circlip as well.
There are two springs in the piston.
Always renew these when (de-)mounting the piston.
See illustration 2, part number 17.
Tip:
- When (de-)mounting, always put a ball of paper in the crankcase. This way they can never get stuck in the engine.
- Order 1 or 2 extra springs, because if they get lost you will be looking for a while.
Available in 2 sizes:
Pen 10 : For old type engine blocks with a 10mm piston pen (s-25 / 1 speed)
Pen 12 : For all new type engine blocks with a 12mm piston pen (a35 en a55, 2 speed).
